Professor Angel Hernando

Angel Hernando is a research fellow at ELSE, an ESRC research institute at University College London, and a "Ramon y Cajal" Assistant Professor at the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid. He holds a PhD in auction theory and his research focuses on competition among auctioneers, electricity auctions, auctions with resale and asymmetric auctions. His work has been published in leading international journals, including the Journal of Economic Theory, Games and Economic Behavior and the Review of Economic Design. Dr. Hernando has participated in a number of consulting projects with Market Analysis, including the Airtours-First Choice merger inquiry and a study commissioned by the European Commission on the definition of markets for sport broadcasting rights.
